A little less than a year since the Lord got my attention about emigrating to Europe He is bringing me home. On January 8th I am returning to the US. When I left for Europe I thought (or hoped) it was until the Lord returned. Well, He has not returned but I am.
I do not know what the Lord has in store for me. I wish I had an exciting reason to give you for my sudden and unexpected return but I can not. I will continue to update this post with my enjoyment of the Lord and news of my life wherever the Lord takes me.
The wine press is ever changing. It changes to meet whatever situation we are in: serving the Lord, being single, going back to school, moving in with parents, being in nursing school.

Under the Pressing
Well, these last three days I have been under an increase in the pressing. I think I will wait a few days before I say the nature of the pressing (every day as brought a new aspect). I believe I have really been experiencing the intensified transformation work in me this year. I really can not believe what has gone take place in my life these past 12 months. What is possible for these next 12?
Aside from the above which I will come back to in a later post these three days I have also been serving in the kitchen at the Winter School of Truth here in London. I am staying at home and commuting (30 minutes by car) with me, the American, giving the directions. I am happy to be in the kitchen it has kept me busy and not overly consumed with the other things that are going on in my life. Although the kitchen is almost non-stop and goes on and on and on, it is very enjoyable because of the blending with the saints. Our head cooks are Louis who is in FTTL, and Paul who is one of the leading brothers in the church in London. Helping them are Dennis from the UK, Lucy a full-timer in London, Tiffany, Miranda, Mai, and Edwin who are all in FTTL and me. Others come in and out all day, but that is the core. Plus, there are the ones who come to help wash up and the sisters who serve the food. Plus, there is Ruby an older Chinese sister who wrote the menus, shops for the food, and coordinates the serving of the food. It has been a lot of fun - I just pray I hold up for the next 2 1/2 days!

The Ascended Christ as our Manna
The HWMR this week is morning revival (how appropriate!) Today I enjoyed this sentence: "The reason there is nothing to say in the meeting is that there is not enough pray-reading in our daily life." Wow. What is pray-reading? It is striking your spirit on the Spirit in the Word. Of course if we do this we will be fed, supplied and enlightened and have no shortage of things to speak. Too often I participate in pray-reading as a matter of duty rather than enjoyment. But this is how we eat the Word.It is not a duty or a practice but our delight.

Teacher's Training 1-2 Dec 2007
All Teachers are fired!
Yesterday I attended an all day teacher's training to prepare for the Winter School of Truth this December. Well, naturally you would think that would involve lessons and discussions about how to teach the topic and how to handle different issues that young people have - there was a little bit of that. But the main point of it all was that the most important thing is that we have a heart for the young people.
The young people need friends and they need family. Also, we need to see them as new believers not as church kids. Just because they grow up in the church life does not mean that they are in the church life. They may fool you into thinking that they are OK because they know all the correct things to say, but really we need to take care of them like our gospel friends and new contacts. We need to be there friend and gain their trust.
This does not mean that we are worldly with them, but we need to be Jesusly-human. Jesus came to be man's savior but He came as a friend of sinners in order to be their savior. We need to take this way and be infused with Jesus' humanity.
It is very humbling. You can not just prepare some lesson. You have to prepare your being, your person.
